Friends Without Borders are delighted to be part of an exciting new project run by Dr Joanna Bucknall, University of Birmingham, which has been awarded funding from UK Research Councils. The project will involve partners from a number of theatre and performance companies along with academics based at the University of Portsmouth and Bournemouth University. It will see the design and development of an 'immersive experience' replicating the process of seeking asylum in the UK. The aim of the project is to encourage empathy with asylum seeker experiences among the wider population of Britain. Volunteers and service users from FWB will be invited to test the prototype of the immersive experience in late 2018. We look forward to being involved! Comments are closed.
